Awards and Recognition
Scouts and Venturers earn badges and awards, and so can adults! There are several awards you can earn for getting trained and then using the skills you've learned to help your unit. Select a link below to see the requirements and download application materials. When you've finished the requirements, turn in your completed form to your district training coordinator. (You can do this by bringing your form to Roundtable, giving it to your unit's Roundtable representative, or contacting your district training coordinator directly.) Wear your training awards with pride!

The "Trained" Patch

There are two steps to earn the "Trained" patch:

  • Youth Protection Training
  • Specific basic training for your position:
    • Cub Leaders: Cub Specific Training (online) or Pack Adult Leader (PAL)

    • Troop Committee: Troop Committee Challenge (online)
    • Venturing: Venturing Leader Training + Boy Scout Outdoor Leader Skills (OLS) (for outdoor crews)

When you've finished the requirements, contact your
